Hi Team,

How to copy sprint value from Epic to its related stories ? we have an Epic without main tasks but with a Sprint value. We would change this Sprint value once the main tasks are created. and this new sprint value should also be copied to all main tasks from the current Epic.

I tried using the JMWE copy field value, but the sprint value is not copying from epic to main tasks (stories)

Hello @Lakshmi CH

If I understand correctly, you need the following:

First, you have an Epic in a sprint without any main tasks. When a main task is created and linked to this Epic, you will change the value of the Sprint for your Epic, and you want this to apply to your main task as well.

Maybe you can try doing this via automation like this

Thank you @Duc Thang TRAN for your quick response.

I have added two automation rules.

1. Copy the sprint field value from Epic to all main tasks (story, bug, new feature, etc)

2. Copy the updated sprint field value in the Epic and then copy it to all main tasks. (story y, bug, new feature, etc)
