Copy field value from parent to subtask

Sarah Fajerberg November 2, 2023

I honestly think this question has been asked a million times, but I cannot for the life of me get my automation to work. I'm trying to copy a custom field "Feature Type" from a parent issue type to a child issue (subtask)

Can someone find the issue?

Hi Sarah,

In the "Edit Issue Field" section, you should select "Parent Issue" instead of "Trigger Issue." This way, it will copy from the parent issue as you want. If the issue is resolved, you can vote for this comment.

That worked. Thank you :)
