Consolidating 2 Domains

We have two separate domains, one for jira and one for confluence. We have a third domain that is verified with atlassian access.
Is there anything I need to do for both jira and confluence domain before transferring them to the verified domain?
We got atlassian access to enable SSO with our IDP. I figured let's do some cleanup, if possible, before enabling SSO.
I've spoken to a few other jira administrators and they said I need to worry about plugin data. Not exactly sure what they mean by that.
Please advise!
