Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to the community and seeking guidance on connecting Red Hat [ https://www.lenovo.com/de/de/servers-storage/solutions/redhat/ ]  Single Sign-On (SSO) to Jira without utilizing an identity provider. We've been configuring our setup and are encountering an error when attempting to log in with our test user. While exploring solutions online, most references suggest using an identity provider, which we currently don't have in place.

I wanted to inquire if there's a viable method to establish this connection without relying on an identity provider. We've been exploring various configurations, suspecting that the attribute name for the username might be the issue, as it's not retrieving the email. However, we're uncertain and open to any suggestions or insights from the community.

Could someone share experiences or alternative solutions for integrating Red Hat SSO with a self-hosted Jira system, especially when an identity provider isn't in use?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.
