Connecting Jira & Bitbucket cloud, outdated documentation

ReportWorkbench

I'm trying to enable access to Jira features like issues in Bitbucket.

The Jira docs at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-workflow-triggers-776636696.html name specific workflow steps, none of which exist in the new Jira project, created with default settings.

Is there an up to date document for this?

Thanks

If you are using Jira Cloud and one of the next-gen projects you cannot setup workflow triggers, this is only available in classic projects which allows you to modify the workflow. To connect a next-gen project to Bitbucket, please see https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/connect-your-next-gen-board-with-bitbucket-946603735.html

OK, so with the next-gen project (default) type, after linking the repository, you create and issue then create a branch from the issue - development option.

Going to try that out now.

Thanks for responding.

I believe that worked thanks.

Or perhaps I did something wrong.

It created a branch from the issue screen but it appears the integration between Jira and Bitbucket is still mostly one way when using the next-gen type.

I was expecting to be able see Jira issues from Bitbucket like you can with Trello on the Bitbucket Boards screen but, I still have to open separate browser tabs to see everything.

Unless I did something wrong.

Believe it or not, on days like this, I actually miss Borland Star Team.
