Connecting Jira Cloud to Confluence Data Center

We are in the process of transitioning from the server product of both Confluence and Jira to the cloud product, but I have a question concerning the Data Center Confluence product.

Our higher level organization employs the use of the Data Center Confluence product, and we would be able to leverage that product, but they do not utilize Jira. Is it possible for us to link the Cloud version of Jira to a Data Center instance of Confluence in the same way that we have our current Server products linked?

I believe it is possible to link Cloud products to Server/DC products, though I have not actually done it.
