Connect archive directory with confluence directory

Good Afternoon,

Confluence users are retrieve from our archive directory database, the problem is that in the archive directory database we don´t have confluence groups like "confluence-administrators" or "confluence-users" these groups are in the confluence directory (I think). So each time I want to put a user into a group I have a message error.

How can I do in order to bind the users and the groups wich are from a separated database?

An external directory is expected to have the users and groups in it - that's what they're for!  You will need to add the groups you want into the external directory, so that confluence can see them and know who is in them.
