Completed and Done issues from years ago are being tagged with my current sprint value

There are issues showing up randomly in my active sprint board from years ago.  

* All are 'Done' with a resolution of 'Completed'

* They do not show up in my backlog view of the current sprint

* Done is my furthest right column

* The history in each shows the last actions from more than 2 years ago.

* We do not have a naming conflict with other sprints

I've seen similar questions asked in the forum but nobody has been able to solve it.
