Compass attributes in JQL queries?

Where Compass components are used in Jira, is there any intention to allow JQL queries that join Jira and Compass attributes, e.g.:

project = X and status != Closed and component.lifecyle = 'Active'

Thanks for the suggestions. The first link explains how to use Compass components in Jira, and the second is a (now resolved) bug using those components in JQL.

My question goes beyond just querying Jira's Component field to being able to use attributes of those (Compass) components in JQL.

For example, Compass components have a lifecycle attribute, making it useful to be query not just on specific components but on all components with a particular lifecycle value.
