Combining two Jira cloud instances

We want to combine our cloud instances.  We did the export from the old system, uploaded the zip file using the WebDav instructions.  We were about to import the data from the old system, but the JIRA import wizard indicates we will wipe out the data on the new cloud instance.  Is this correct?  Is there a method to merge two cloud instances?  Thanks!
