Close Issue Permission Bug?

Deleted user June 20, 2012

In the Permission Scheme for my project, I have the "Close Issues" permission set to only Project Role(Administrators) and Reporter. Yet the Current Assignee is able to close the issue.

I want to restrict the current assignee from doing this and I thought that this should accomplish that.

Any ideas on why this is not working. I'm using Jira v4.3.3#617-r149616

Maybe the user you are working with has Resolve permissions and if the step is Closing and Resolving at the same time, it could be causing a conflict. Also double check the workflow Transitions to ensure that you are using the "Must have Close Issue Permissions" part of the Workflow steps.

It's the "conditions" on the transition - they probably say something like "has close permission OR is the current assignee". Reading them will tell you why this is happening.
