Cloning uses original value of description instead of most recent value

Steps to Recreate Issue on a Jira managed account (Cloud):

1. Create an issue (type = task or type = bug). Include a description with text "VERSION 0".

2. Edit the description to text "VERSION 1"

3. Clone the issue

Observed:

The description of the clone shows "VERSION 0"

Expected:

The description of the clone should show "VERSION 1" since that was the description when the clone was created.

For the Description field you need to actually save the change on the screen for that field (it’s different from other fields).

No, it doesn't. I am sure that the description field is saved prior to cloning.

What type of project are you using? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

What steps are you taking to clone the issue?

Can you provide a video showing the steps being executed and the results?
