Clone entire project in JIRA

I would like to have the ability to clone a project in its entirety so that all of the issues and subtasks I have already created are duplicated as well. Our team has alot of recurring projects and it will be extremely time consuming to have to recreate a new project every month and create all of the issues and subtasks all over again. Is there a better way to do this or a plugin?

JIRA Command Line Interface has cloneProject or you can use the techniques from How to create projects or sets of issues based on a template

Jamie Echlin's Script Runner will copy a project and optionally all the issues. I've used this before with success.
