Clearing Done child issues

Two annoying things:

1. if I set the finger in parent issue to hide done issues it is not remembered. 
2. I should be able to optionally clear done child issues like I can on the Done column.

Are you working on Jira Software as you state on your post? In addition are you on a TMP or CMP project (when entering your project, look at the bottom left screen).
