Cleanup redundant issue types in Jira.

I need remove the redundant issue types past 6months and how can I proceed this one. 

for removing issue types Is there any impact on existing projects? Can we achieve this without impact?

Suppose if we can achieve, what are the steps we need to follow please guide me.

Hi Pavan,

What do you mean by redundant issue types can you give an example?

But yes, if you remove them, you must move any existing issues connect to the issue type to another issue type before you can get rid of it.
