Clean up of inactive users

Lindsey Abrahamsen October 18, 2022

Hello

We have 209 active users in Jira. However, we still show all inactive or deactivated users in user management. When I have removed those users they reappear the next day. Is there a job that can be configured to remove those users from the Jira system?

Thanks

Hi,

Like Mohamed mentioned, if you have configured an LDAP sync or a Cloud user sync, the users will reappear unless you deactivate them in the source of truth, which would be the LDAP / AD user directory your Jira fetches users from. Deactivating users on that end instead will hopefully give you control of the volume of users.

Hi,

Your Jira is connected to a LDAP or something else ?
