Child issues style in issue detail view

Hi all,

I found this annoying problem where the visualization of the child issues in a task chaged.

It is now like a table view and I am forced to open the child issue in a new browser tab

before the visualisation was like the backlog view and I was able to inspect the child issue without leaving the backlog page

Does anyone know how to change thi behaviour?

Two steps forward and a step back it seems. The ability to open a child issue in the center of the same tab was very convenient for a lot of users. There is a feature request open now to restore that functionality. Make sure you vote to show interest!

This is a new improvement introduced by Atlassian. Please refer to this article for a detailed explanation of the objective behind this change.

Unfortunately, there is no direct option to revert to the old view. However, you can share your feedback on the article to notify the Atlassian team.
