I know this might not be the right place but I’ll try. I cloned a story that had a checklist that had 85 task and then I realized the clone has 85 task completed as well even tho the it only has a list of 40, it almost feels like it took the checklist for jira of the parent clone, I have unllinked the clone remove and re-add list and still reports the same, also I created new stories and now I can’t see status, I know I have it set correctly because all others are showing how is supposed to be.
again if anyone can assist, I know this is 3rd party app but I’m giving it a try
Hi @Cesar Arevalo ,
Can you maybe share which checklist app you are using? As there are a couple of them, this might help narrow things down and help folks troubleshoot.
Apart from that, the recommendation would probably be to reach out to the vendor directly. Each Marketplace app listing has/should have "Support" tab where you can find contact information to reach the product and dev teams 👀
Cheers,
Tobi

Thanks for the info @Cesar Arevalo !
I can check with my colleague if he has some additional info about this, as he was working with this app, but as mentioned before, the best bet would be to reach out to the HeroCoders team (vendor) directly via their support portal: Cloud Support

Hello @Cesar Arevalo,
Do you clone with the Jira native clone feature or with an app, like Deep Clone for Jira?
I am working on the team developing Deep Clone for Jira and we have an integration for Checklist for Jira. You can read how to clone checklists with Deep Clone in our documentation.

Hello and welcome @Cesar Arevalo
Since this functionality comes from Checklist for Jira Pro, the checklist statuses are controlled by the app itself, not by Jira’s native workflow.
Because of that, the best place to get an accurate answer would be the app vendor, as they know the internal behavior of the checklist cloning and status handling.
They should be able to clarify whether this is expected behavior, a configuration detail, or something that needs investigation.
