Checking & setting field values DURING issue creation
Hello all,
on a Jira Server, I'm trying to enhance the usability of issue creation, by providing users with some guidance. Elaborate labels for fields aren't really possible which I worked around by message type fields in between.
What I'm failing to do though is guiding users thru the issue creation fields. What I want to do is taking a number value from one field, and depending on another set of radio buttons, populate another field with a calculated value. All this should happen while the user is in the create issue screen.
I've tried using Automation for Jira but it doesn't trigger before the issue has been submitted. Workflow triggers also seem to only trigger post-transition. Not sure about ScriptRunner.
Does anyone have any other clue?
