Checkbox field behaviour

Hi Team,

I wish to write a behaviour for checkbox field with only one option. If it's selected then a additional fields gets unhidden and mandatory .

Following is the code i am trying:

def field = getFieldByName("Blocked Reason")
def checkbox = getFieldByName("check")

def selectedOption = checkbox.getValue()
if( selectedOption=="block")
{

field.setHidden(false)
field.setRequired(true)

}
else {

field.setHidden(true)
field.setRequired(false)

}

Kindly help me if there is corrrect way to fetch checkbox fields ?

 if (checkboxfield.contains("block"))
