Changing name linked status in existing workflow step

Hi,

I would like to change the Linked Status name in my workflow but cannot find the facility to do. I just want to change name in the linked status of an existing workflow step.

Under Issues, you can manage your Workflows.  Within this area, you can edit the workflow and change the Step Name (but you cannot edit the Linked Status name here).

Also under Issues, you can manage your Statuses.  Within this area, you can edit a status and change the name of the Linked Status.

When you say linked status name, what are you referring to? Do you mean the status' name itself or the transition between two statuses?

Are you on a Next Gen or Classic project?

Hi, it is Service desk project (Classic project). The status name itself.

It should work the same as in Jira Software - as a Site Admin, you should be able to edit the workflow and change a status' name.

Just bear in mind that it changes the status' name for every workflow using it across all projects - so if this is for one specific use case, I'd suggest creating a new status and editing it in.

To locate workflows:

• Click Settings > Issues
• Select Workflows on the left-hand side
• Locate your workflow and press Edit
• Click on a Status and press Edit to change the name or...
• Click Add Status and add a new one, remove the old one and re-link the transitions.
• Publish Draft once ready to activate it
