Greetings!
We have Jira Data Center 8.19.0 running on a Linux VM on an internal network and have always been HTTP.
We migrated from the old internal company network to the new internal company network over the weekend. The Jira VM got a new IP and a new domain.
Now, when we try to surf to Jira, it is changing HTTP to HTTPS and failing.
If I browse with the IP address, it works normally (http://<new IP>:8080/).
Nothing else was changed during the migration.
What could be causing Jira to switch an incoming HTTP to HTTPS?
Thanks in advance,
Howard Stein
Looks like it is related to the new domain, which is a ".dev".
Apparently all browsers force ".dev" to HTTPS.
We will work on either converting our instance from HTTP to HTTPS, or changing our domain from ".dev" to something like ".local".
