I just created a new project in Jira Work Management. However, it defaulted to team managed project, but I need it to be a company managed project. Is there a way to change this to a company managed project?
I am needing it to be a 'business' project.
Jira does not support a direct project conversion from a Team-managed to a Company-managed project as of today. However, you can create a new Company Managed project and bulk move all the existing Jira issues in the Team Managed project to the newly created one.
Thank you.
@Victor Law - thank you.
So, I created a new project under work management, chose company managed, but then it saved it as a software project and not a business project.

Software project and Business project are unrelated to Team-Managed vs Company-Managed. Team Managed and Company Managed are about who controls the configuration and settings within the project. Software project and Business project (both Company Managed project types) are about what kind of features are included with the project. Here's a good article that describes the differences: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/New-to-Jira-discussions/comparison-of-features-of-Software-project-and-Business-project/m-p/2083571#M18234
