Change status for a created Kanban's column

Hi, 

I am beggining a training on Jira and when i created my Kanban, I cannot modify the status of the now column I just created. So it doesn't appear in the Kanban. 

I tried to find out in project settings to get the right to make the modification but I didn't find the good setting. 

Coul you please tell me the right element to modify regarding this issue ?
