What do I do if I want to use a CSV file to modify certain fields of an issue that have already been registered?
I tried several times, but it was registered as a new issue

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Your CSV has to contain the key of the issue you wish to update, and the column has to be mapped to the issue key field.  (Actually, there's another option, but it's complex, and not worth the effort)

I entered the issue key column in the CSV file.

However, during the field mapping phase

Issue key is not visible in jira field.

Is the parent ID the issue key?

No, the parent ID is for when you are adding sub-tasks.

You need to look for the issue key, key, or just issue ID
