Hi there,
I'm a new Trello user and I've created a few cards that were just a simple drag & drop from web pages but none of them uploaded the images!
I use Chrome browser.
Anyone else had this issue?
Cheers!
Hi Fadoua,
Nothing really happens. It just shows the link (as text) without uploading the image :(

@Tinker Fadoua Thank you for your help.
Yes, I had that enabled already. I did disable it and enable it again - just in case - but still to no avail :(
Once again, thank you!

Camila

Did you try to create a different board? See if you will have the same issue
IS everything else working fine except attachments?

I've just created a test card, checked that card cover images setting was enabled before adding a web link, but it still doesn't upload the image.
Everything else seems to be working just fine.

Ha! That worked 🎉 🎉 🎉 YEY!
Adding an image from my computer worked immediately! So it's really just the links that don't work.

Camila

@Camila FrançaI always add my attachments from my local computer. I wonder if adding a link will display the picture. I really doubt however I will give it a try.
Glad you are able to see your images.
Enjoy!

Fadoua

@Tinker Fadoua That's exactly my issue. Adding a link won't upload any picture.
This was a feature highlighted on a Trello presentation I saw online and as it has never worked for me, I was wondering what could be happening.
Once again, thank you for your patience and support on this issue. I appreciate it.
Kind regards,
Camila

@Camila FrançaI tried adding a link as an attachment it didn't display any pictures.
Here is the one article I found about adding attachments in Trello.
Let me tag @Manon Soubies-Camy who has more exposure than myself to Trello.
Merci Manon!

Hi @Camila França,
Would you have a link to the article or presentation showing that you can paste a link of an image and then it is added as the card cover? I've never heard of it, so to me it is actually the expected behaviour that it isn't added as the card cover.
A way to quickly add an image from a website as a card cover is to:
Hope this helps!

@Tinker Fadoua and @Manon Soubies-Camy thank you so much for your help with this.
Here's the link which references that you can 'get the url and drag it right over and automatically adds a card, and for a lot of websites it embeds the metadata (and picture)' - this is around minute 4:00 of the video.

Hi @Camila França,
Well, I actually attended this talk 😅 thanks for sharing the link, now I remember this feature! And I also remember trying it out, and it did work - I'm 100% sure of it. But now it doesn't work anymore, so I guess we should contact Trello support.
