Capitalization requirements, if any, when importing from CSV

When importing issues to JIRA via a CSV/Excel file, is it necessary for capitalization in the Excel file to be exactly the same as the JIRA custom fields in which the issues will be imported?

Hi Tiffany,

The import wizard has a screen where you can map column names (and values) from your CSV to the JIRA equivalents.

For example, "MYCUSTOMFIELD" column in CSV can be mapped to "MyCustomFIeld" in JIRA:

This also goes for the multi or single select field options. If you tick the "Map field value" checkbox you can map values on the next screen.

Thank you - does this also go for the multi or single select field options?

Yep. I've edited my answer to include that.
