Cannot view Tests dropdown in the top menu in JIRA

Hi,
I was looking to create Test plan, test cases, however when i logged into my JIRA account (which is a new one), i do not see the option of Tests in the menu dropdown.
Is there any missing access privilege which is needed?
Do i compulsorily need Zephyr pluggin for using test management?

Hi,
You will need the plugin as there is no test button in JIRA by default. Here's my instance with Zephyr installed:
