Cannot see non-working days as shaded in Gantt view

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
While in the Gantt view in BigPicture, the non-working days columns (e.g. for weekends and public holidays) do not show as shaded. Is there a setting to enable this or is this a bug? Please tell me the location of the setting so that the non-working days column shading can be enabled.
