I already added "Bug", "Enhancement" and "Task" to the issue types but my test project can only show "Epic" and "Task" in issue type when I create issue. The Task from the selection in "Create issue" is different from the "Task" I created in setting, which you can see the different icon for them.
Does anyone know why? Is it a bug in JIRA Software Cloud?
Hi @Peter Cheng,
Welcome to the Community. If your test project is a company managed project, you should add the issue type bug to the issue type scheme of your project.
The easiest way to do so, is to navigate to project settings > issue types and from the Actions button near the top right corner select the option edit issue types. You should then end up in a screen like this:
Drag the issue types you need from the right list to the left and don't forget to hit the save button. That should do the trick.
If your Test project is a team managed project, refer to this support article for more information on setting things up correctly.
Hope this helps!
If Testproject is set to use the issue type scheme you show in the left of your screenshot, then I would guess that Bug and Enhancement are sub-task types, which can only be created from within their parent issue. You can't use the standard "create issue" to create them, and hence they're not offered by the selection field.
