Cannot display rank field in issue

Hi, I've added Rank to the field configuration, issue screen, and issue layout yet it does not appear in my issues. I've added the Parent Link field and this is showing up correctly. Is there anything in particular that I'm suppose to do to have the Rank field show up?

Why do you want to display the Rank field? What is the value in displaying it?

I have never tried to display the rank in the detailed issue view as it is not consumable. For example here is one rank value 1|hzwd7b: 

I do display the rank column in some dashboards only so I can sort on the column.
