Cannot delete status because there are issues supposedly in that status.

I have been trying to delete the status "H/W Under Review", but this pops up:

However, I have transitioned all of the issues with that status to another status. There are no issues left in status "H/W Under Review". This is the proof:

FYI, I am using DATA CENTER Jira.

Do you have any Archived Projects or Archived Issues in your Jira instance? The status may be used there, and archived data is not included in search results.
