Hi,

I am desperately trying to create an issue for the Hibernate ORM project (HHH), but even after registering and logging in, I get the following error message:

Vorgang erstellen

Sie sind nicht berechtigt, diese Funktion auszuführen. Bitte loggen Sie sich ein.

Schließen Sie diesen Dialog, und drücken Sie Aktualisieren in Ihrem Browser

The funny thing is that even after changing my language setting to English, I still get the same German message while the rest of the site is in English.

I tried refreshing the browser and opening the site in a private window, but still no success.

Browser is latest Safari on macOS 26.5.1.

Thanks and best regards,
Tobias

Hello @Tobias Rettstadt

You’re missing the required space permission.

Ask a space administrator to grant you Create Permission if you should be able to Create Issues.

@Tobias Rettstadt

You can wait till tomorrow.

Problem with https://hibernate.atlassian.net - Miscellaneous - Hibernate

For me that´s anyway related to how this site is managed.

If you have a problem accessing it, contact Getting Help - Hibernate

In this case, even Atlassian probably cannot help much, because this is about access to a system that is managed by someone else.

The right way is to ask the Hibernate project/team directly for access or support. They are the ones who control that system.

I found also that on their Forum

It was indeed not a Jira problem, but in the Hibernate space you have to click the Login button even if you are already logged in in order have your user added to the space. After doing that I was able to create an issue. Thanks for your help!

Hi Tobias,

That would tell me you don't have permission to Create Work Items on that space. What type of space is it? Company-managed? Team-managed? Jira Software? JSM?

Hi John,

it is this open-source project: https://hibernate.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/HHH/list?jql=project%20%3D%20HHH%20ORDER%20BY%20cf%5B10885%5D%20ASC

When not logged in there is a banner saying that you have to log in to create an issue. But when I'm logged in I still cannot create an issue.

In the Hibernate forums I found the following:

We heard a couple of times from users that it takes a bit of time until newly created accounts are fully activated, so maybe try again the next day.

Perhaps I just have to try again tomorrow.
