Cannot create a connection to Office 2010 from Jira 6

With Jira4 we were able to use Excel 2010 and Add Data from Web > Selecting the URL of a favorite filter and import the data from the online result table.

With JIRA 6 we are facing the following error. While we are opening the URL of the filter in Excel we are getting an error on login page. A javascript is not able to find a specific method and I believe the issue is because the embeded IE that office is using is not supported version of browser.

Does anyone have a solution to this? How end users is able to connect office and jira. Is there any other solution? Requirement is to be able to pull out data from excel.

With JIRA 6 you need at least Office 2010 SP1
