Cannot Reactivate Accounts

badong.jm
August 24, 2021

We're using multiple Atlassian products including JIRA Cloud and Confluence. We're synchronizing users from a verified domain. We noticed that accounts get suddenly deactivated and we're not sure why.  Going into Managed Accounts we have a few users that we can Reactivate but for a lot of users Reactivate is greyed out.

Articles I've read mentioned that we need to check with our domain admins to enable the profile. Before I log a request with our AD team I wanted to ask if anyone can provide information on what triggers deactivation for accounts? Ex. Disabled in verified domain, profile changes causing errors, domain attribute changing. This way we can work with our domain admins on what to check for each profile.

Lastly we have a All members for directory - xxxxx group however not synch how periodic the synch is. Any tips on how we can check that?

Thanks in advanced.

@badong.jm Welcome to the Atlassian Community

Depending on how your AD configuration is set up will impact users being active or not.  For instance, we have a query that looks for users in a specific AD Group.  When users get pulled out of that group then they become deactivated when it syncs.  So it really depends on your configuration.
