Cancelled Tasks/Subtasks

My project uses Scrum and I have the WF set up to allow all status to transition to one another. My problem is when there is a task/subtask to a story that gets cancelled when I am completing the Sprint Jira doesn't recognized those cancelled tasks as cancelled and will either not allow me to complete it or will designate those stories to be rolled into the next sprint. 

So, how do I get Jira to recognize cancelled tasks/subtasks as cancelled within the story?

is Cancelled a status? If so ensure that it is a statuscategory of Done and ensure it is in the right-most column along w/ your Done status. another consideration - add "cancelled" as a resolution value and move those issues to Done - cancelled. The key here is to ensure these cancelled issues end up in the right-most column of your scrum board.

This may be my problem. I have now mapped cancelled to the scrum board and will see how it goes  when I complete the sprint next week. Thank you very much for your help!

Also, if Cancelled is a status, make sure that transitions to that status are also setting the Resolution field.
