Can you transition all subtasks if the parent is transitioned?

Can you transition all subtasks if the parent is transitioned?

It is possible in the workflows, to transition all subtasks if the parent is transitioned? Our primary use case is when an issue is put on hold - we want to transition the parent to be on hold without having to also transition each of the parent's subtasks. Advice is appreciated.

You can't do it without plugins or scripts and since you are on onDemand, it is not an option I am afraid!

Since we may be moving off of OnDemand next year because of these limitations, is there a plugin(s) you recommend to do this? My forte is not scripting and U don't have that support - so, whatever I can do through the admin UI or with plugins, I try to. Any advice is appreciated.

You can do it in a listener like the Auto Transition listener. That listener works well when you want to auto transition the same issue. You can do something similar to transition the parent issue when the status changes.
