Hi Jira team!
I created a couple of test issues in a Software project and can't find a way to delete them. I checked the Issue card and the Issue list screen, but there is no delete option for this issue. I'm a Site Admin, so should have the ability to adjust any necessary settings. The below screenshot shows the options I see when I open up the issue. Thanks for your help!
Hi @Lindsey Jensen
To delete an issue, you must have the Delete issues permission in the project where the issue was created. Please check the permission once.
1. Go to Project - Settings
2. Choose Permissions
3. Open the Permission Scheme attached to the Project
4. Click on the Actions button on the top right and choose Edit Permissions.
5. Go to the Issue Permissions
6. Change the entries for Delete Issues.

Thank you @Sushant Verma ! Your quick response was very helpful. I updated the permissions scheme to allow Admins to delete issues, and deleted the test issues from my software project.
I do have one follow up question. For all of the permissions on the Default Software Scheme, the Users/Groups/Project Roles are "Project Role (atlassian-addons-project-access)" which I understand to mean "anyone who has access to that project." However, I was the one who created this project, and I wasn't able to delete issues until I updated the permissions. Am I misunderstanding "Project Role (atlassian-addons-project-access)?"
Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.

@Lindsey Jensen It's all about permission. If you are a site admin, it does not mean that you can delete any issue in Jira. You have to set project permission scheme either directly or via a group or a role.
If this was helpful can you please mark as accepted to help others.
