Can you create a Field Configuration Scheme in a next-gen project?

Hi all! I'm looking to create a field configuration scheme in a next-gen project will the goal of being able to sync custom fields in a Jira ticket with those in Confluence. Is this possible for next-gen?   TIA!

field schemes are not available in NG projects.
