Is there a way to change the type of linkage on a linked issue without deleting and recreating?
ie, I would like to change the relation of this issue from "relates to" to "blocks"Jira YD-689.PNG

You'll have to delete the existing link (a little X beside it should be there), then you just re-link it as the type you want.  I don't know of a way to do that without first also breaking the link, since that link type could be used for all sorts of other things.

You can also link to it again using the correct type, if you want to keep both.chrome_2021-11-19_14-52-49.png

I'm posting this here because I don't see a direct link or option to submit a Jira feature request.

I'd like to suggest adding the ability to change the relationship type of an existing linked work item without unlinking and relinking it.

Currently, if a work item is linked with the wrong relationship type, the link must be removed and then recreated with the correct relationship. For example, changing a relationship from "implements" to "fixes" requires unlinking the work item and adding it again.

This becomes especially important when working with records that have long lists of linked work items, such as Change records. Unlinking and relinking items individually is time-consuming and also introduces the risk of accidentally removing or relinking the wrong item.

It would be very helpful if Jira provided an Edit/Change relationship option directly within the Linked work items section, allowing the relationship type to be changed while keeping the existing work item link intact.  Rovo AI is currently the only efficient way to accomplish this without manually unlinking and relinking each work item.

Is this functionality currently available in another way, or is there an existing feature request that I can vote for?  Here is an example:UI Example.png
