Hi all,
I got a practice test and it said you can actually change the estimation statistic of an active Sprint.
I'm using the Free version of Jira Software and I don't have full capabilities.
Google AI and Atlassian says you can't. My Androids AI says that Yes you can.
Which is it? I need to tacle this one for my test.
Hello @Carolina Castro
Can you provide a link to the Atlassian reference that says you cannot change the estimation statistic of an Active sprint?
Does the question say if it is for a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project Scrum board?
What is the exact question on the practice test, and what are the options for answers?
For a Company Managed project Scrum board you set the Estimation statistic for the board and this is reflected in al sprints created within that board.
When I change the Estimation Method here from Story Points to Original Estimate you can see below that it changes the estimation sum up lozenges in the active sprint header from story points to duration.
In a Team Managed project scrum board the estimation statistic is set in Program Settings Features. Changing it there has the same immediate affect.

Note that I am also using a Free Jira subscription, so these same features would be available to you in a Free Jira subscription.

Hi Trudy, Thanks for your reply!
- Here it is the answer in the practice test: "Your answer is correct. The estimation statistic can be change once a sprint has started.
- Attached is the link of the Atlassian page showing you can't. It's right after the subtitle More information about estimation and time tracking.
