Can you add or edit API tokens after a Service account (not OAuth2.0) has been created?

Erick Orr

I created a Service Account for port.io for Jira. I added the following API token scopes (all Classic):

read: account

read:jira-user

read:jira-work

write:jira-work

manage:jira-project

manage:jira-webhook

The port.io admin is receiving data for users, spaces, projects, and issues. He is not receiving any teams data. He's asking to add view:team:teams and view:membership:teams to the list of token scopes. Can this be done after the creation of the Service Account, or do I have to revoke all API tokens and start from scratch? Thank you.

Hi @Erick Orr

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the API token or it's scope once created. However, you can revoke the current API token and create a new one.

Cheers!
