Can we use method/function in jira

Hi when I try to create a method or function in jira it shows me unwanted method declaration. All I can do is execute the code from top to bottom

What do you mean by "unwanted method declaration"?

You'll need to give us a proper description of the actual problem if you want help.  A statement that you can't "create a method or function" tells us nothing.
