Hi Parthiban,

I see you're deployed in cloud. Not sure if you've seen this already, but Atlassian has available in the marketplace the Jira Cloud for Sheets Addon (Free). I believe it should help you with what you're looking for.

Hi @Parthiban Vj

welcome to the community!

If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you will find a number of apps that bring sheet-style capabilities straight into Jira, meaning that you no longer have to sync back and forth. Depending on your exact use case, I think it might be worth exploring if such an app could work for you.

E.g., my team and I work on an app that might be interesting to you, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.

With these, you can build a view like e.g. this in just a couple of clicks:

This is just one of a virtually endless number of possible views and reports. Note that this all happens directly in Jira, on live Jira data.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Hannes

@Parthiban Vj Yes! You can set up bidirectional sync between any Jira project and Google Sheets with Unito's 2-way integration. Here's a link to the marketplace app

It allows you to turn Jira issues into spreadsheet rows and rows back into issues. Changes in either tool update in real-time. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @Parthiban Vj ,

With Atlassian’s Jira Cloud for Sheets you can pull Jira data into Google Sheets. It doesn’t have the ability to push data back to Jira though.
We have a Marketplace App called Google Sheets Integration that has a corresponding Google Workspace app with which you can update Jira issues directly in Google Sheets (short video, bi-directional sync shown at 0:25).
However, it sounds like you want to create new issues within Google Sheets. We are currently considering this additional functionality. We would really like to understand your use case better. If you feel like sharing what you are looking for, please send us a note to support@mobilitystream.com
Kind regards,
The Mobility Team
