Can we share Jira Service Desk and Jira Software reports on a single dashboard?

Hi community,

 

Can we share Jira Service Desk and Jira Software reports on a single dashboard? We are looking at the possibility to buy licenses of both products and we want to understand if besides of each tool has its own set of reports if we can have a single place where we can share stats for both functions JSD and JSW for managers.

One thing that will help you, when searching through the docs, is to pay attention to the names that various things are called in the Jira family of products.  "Report" and "Dashboard" have very specific meanings.  Service Desk has Reports that are only visible to Agents, and then, only in the Agent interface. These cannot be added to a Dashboard. The same is true of Jira Software Reports. Some of these Reports have an equivalent Dashboard "Gadget," though. Gadgets can be displayed in the Jira Dashboard and also in properly linked Confluence pages.

Getting back to your question, though.  The answer is "maybe." It depends on what you want to display.  The majority of JSD data is available to Gadgets, so you should be able to display the information. It may not look exactly the way it does in the Agent interface Reports, though.
