It's affecting my workflow, and it's a bit buggy. The left sidebar's text is all scrunched up when showing me different projects. All in all, I'm not a fan of the new nav and UI update - can we have an option to switch back if desired?
Hello @Jonah Johnson
At this time Atlassian is not providing an option to switch back to the previous navigation style, and has not indicated that it has any plans to make such a switch back available again. Here was the most recent update about the roll out:
Hi @Jonah Johnson,
Unfortunately, Atlassian typically doesn't provide rollback options for UI updates once they're fully deployed. The new navigation is part of their broader platform modernization effort.

I know UI changes can be frustrating when they disrupt established workflows. While a full rollback isn't likely, Atlassian does respond to community feedback for improvements.

Hi @Jonah Johnson!
Only some users will still be able to switch back to the old UI view. This is described in https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/what-is-the-new-navigation-in-jira/ under the "Can I turn the new navigation off?" section.
The easiest way to check if you can switch back is to check your Personal settings configuration and see if the "New navigation" setting can be turned off.
I hope this helps you!

As per the July update I referenced the option to revert has been deprecated for Free and Standard plans, and will be available on Premium and Enterprise plans only until "late July 2025".
So if it hasn't happened already, within the next 7 days no users will be able to go back to the old navigation.

Doesn't look like it can be switched back.
In-fact it is going to be 100% enforced for all sites from July 28, 2025.
