Can we have a report on the progress of an ongoing project on the basis of their statuses?

What precisely do you want to measure when you're saying "progress"? 

There's lots of measures it could be, none of them are right for everyone, but we can't tell you a lot without a rule that gives us the measure.  (For example "% of unresolved issues in a sprint" can be a good one.  Or "number of issues in each non-closed status")
