Can we get  % of total pass defects and the defect numbers in the same dashboard?

Can you confirm if the defects you are referring to are provided by a third-party app integrated with Jira? or is it just a custom issue type created in your site?

Also, can you let us know if the "pass" you referred to is a type of status or resolution?

Considering you are using a custom issue type, I believe the best option you have to display the percentage of resolved/open issues would be by using the Issue Statistics Gadget. These would be the steps to properly configure it:

1. Create a filter to return all the issues (defects) you want to be displayed in the statistic. e.g:

   issuetype = defect and project = XYZ

2. Navigate to your dashboard > Click to add a new Gadget > Select the Issue Statistics Gadget. P.S: You must be a dashboard editor to add new gadgets. You can check more details about that in the documentation below:
   Create and edit dashboards 
3. Add the gadget with the filter you created on step 1 and select the statistic type you need (Status, resolution, etc)

Doing the steps above, the gadget will return the percentage of defects based on the statistic type selected:

The number of defects is displayed in the same gadget at the Count column, as you can see in the screenshot above.

The total number and the number of defects per status as well.
