Can we get help migrating a single project from an old version of JIRA to the latest one?

We'll purchase additionnal support as required, we need to migrate a project and a few other items from a previous version of JIRA to the next, is there any way to do this without uploading to a new (older) instance and upgrading it?

The JIRA tool isn't letting us proceed, because of our version difference.
