Can we create a category to identify projects done in a particular period?

Chukwudi Frank Ugwulali January 19, 2022

So we are in a new year 2022, We have a long list of projects done in 2021. I don't want to trash these projects but can i create a category to sort out projects done across periods so my overview can show 2022 projects only.

Hi @Chukwudi Frank Ugwulali , welcome to the community.

Projects don't have a status and you can't query for such. However, maybe you could use the category field that exist in projects? That field, can contain whatever you would like and when viewing all projects you can sort by that category. So for example, you could use that field to put in the year the project completed such as 2021.

Also consider that you can query issues by completion date so in a fact you can find all issues in your entire instance that were moved to done in 2021. And if you use the concept of Epics then you could check for those that completed in 2021.

Thanks @Jack Brickey This is quite helpful.
